ATI Systems, Inc. is a full service stocking distributor for hydronics and HVAC/R related products located in south central Pennsylvania just outside of the city Lancaster. From here they service the central PA area with HVAC products as well as the entire USA with radiant floor heat, and snow and ice melting systems. In addition to hydronics focused products, they also serve as distributors of Air Sox fabric air distribution systems from Euro Air and energy recovery ventilation equipment from Nu-Air.
ATI Systems was founded by Carl Longenecker more than fifteen years ago as a distributor of specialty HVAC products which incorporated value added services such as system design and engineering into their offerings. Typically, contractors come to the company with plans or concepts for systems they desire to offer their customers. From here ATI will perform load calculations and evaluate buildings for the best products and system design for the end user. This is followed by the development of a complete system layout, takeoff, and drawings depending on the complexity of the job. On many occasions this even includes site visits before, during, or after installation to ensure optimum performance. With these additional services, they quickly became a premier distributor of floor heating systems in central PA in the past decade. The company has been so successful with this product segment that they are now an OEM of radiant systems producing their own line of tubing and components under the ATI Radiant Systems label. As part of the value added service for these systems the company offers integrated packaging where the contractor has all the components included and sized properly not having to worry that a critical item has been missed in the quoting process.
Building on the success of the radiant floor heat products line, the company added boilers to its product offerings. Realizing the need for diverse heat plant options and the market shift toward more environmentally friendly fuels, the company decided to offer a broad array of boilers. The first product line added was Baxi which is currently the third largest manufacturer of boilers and water heaters in Europe. Baxi is the inventor of modern wall hung “modcon” boilers and has been building them for more than thirty years. They offer gas boilers in both condensing and non-condensing versions as well as combi-boilers which have the ability to do space heating as well as domestic hot water production. Following the Baxi addition ATI Systems entered into a relationship with Tarm USA to sell high tech wood, pellet, and biofuel boilers from companies such as HS Tarm, Scandtec, and Froling.
In addition to offering radiant floor heat systems, snowmelt systems, boilers, fabric air distribution systems and energy recovery ventilation equipment, the company also offers a full array of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, solar thermal and refrigeration products. These products are all offered with design and engineering support services. The company not only works on projects for buildings, but also provides systems for the marine services industry as well.
Carl Longenecker founded ATI Systems in November 1997 with a belief that there was a need for a new type of specialty representative of HVAC products. He believed that by providing design and engineering services in conjunction with the products, one could create a value added product/service combination.
